S2000 Shootout Race
you cant have an all one field. You need to make different classes (N/A, Forced Induction Street, Outlaw). Having outlaw trim cars with automatics and no weight requirements race against cars in street trim doesn't make for a competitive and fair class.
Look back into the NHRA rule book..they had some decent set of rules. IFO rules are very and vague..

You would have to have a big turn out to do those three clasess. Assuming we had a great turn out then we can have those three classes
N/A
Turbo Street
Outlaw
We have to determine what's street and what's outlaw.

Well cft, adturbo, raw racing and if redstar wants to swim over Florida is where it's at. Not just for s2ks but others like awd motorsports, Titan, td auto have some fast ass whips to challange the big boys. As far as tracks there's Bradenton, PBIR, Orlando and gainsville. And yes I know it's far south for alot of people but it's not to far for inlinepro. Just saying if u want redstar to ship there car over it's alot to ask for them to go way out up.

I know between outlaw and street you will have weight, fuel, aftermarket trans, tires, and turbo size limitations that separate the two..
Your best best is to piggy back off another event. I remember one year I think there were s2000s running at Honda Day at etown and they gave them all separate classes. Turn out was spectacular but it worked out well..
You will have to focus on location, then who to partner up with and then work on the rules..good luck.
My car is nowhere powerful enough to compete, nor setup for drag style racing, but i really hope you guys can keep the momentum going and get this setup. It would be a great thing to have an s2k only drag event! I would definitely travel far to watch it! Good luck!
SRWD class rules, that will solve problems for the higher hp cars, drag radial class for street cars or street trim cars. and maybe an outlaw class down the road. the rules are already out there. just have to adapt them to your car
