Our s2k is almost ready. Its running and driving...minus 2nd gear. PPG gearset will be here soon so count us in for this event!!!!! I think the 2nd Kansas city IFO event this year would give enough time to finish your builds.

I want to bump this back up and start some talks again about this.

I organized the Hot Rod class during the E-town fall nationals (outlaw FWD shootout) last year, and I'm sure that Roger would let us run an S2k shootout race there as well. The weather is always great, cool, track is awesome, records are set, yada, yada. It turned out nice, we had like 13 cars or so, IIRC.

We'd handle our own payouts, rules, etc. We paid the track $100 per car, which got your car tech'd in, and entry for the weekend. I believe I can get them to provide a couple crew passes for the weekend too for that price (the did last year). Then we all pitched in an extra $200 for the payouts (this can be whatever, up to us). It paid out in the following format

Just thought I'd throw that out there as an option. I'd say we need at least 8 cars to pre-commit for it to work though. Otherwise I"m going to just organize another Hot Rod class for that event, most of our "built" S2k's fall into that class anyways. So regardless if the S2k shootout doesn't happen, I'd love to see some of you guys there in the Hot Rod class. It's always a fun race.

Discuss.

Kinsler prototype runners will be on the car this week so maybe we can get a real product by the next 2-3 weeks. Motivation enough ?
