I probably should of back halved mine but I change my mind too much. Being that my car only has 16,000 miles on it, I like the option of putting it back to stock if I want too.

But the fact that you never will put it back to stock is a reality. I would back half mine but i dont think 9's on a street car would require that crazyness

I definitely wont ever put it back to stock, but I might put all the stock suspension stuff back in someday. I have that option still. I also feel that makes it a lot more sale-able as well.

I feel like it's alot easier to build a purpose built drag car, then a fast street car. I'm not condoning street racing, what I am saying is this.

Guy 1:700whp that runs 9's.

Guy 2: 800whp that runs 7/8's.

While I have the utmost repsect for BOTH guys, I give the knod to the guy who even though may run a slower time, has a car that he can use for more than 1 minute every other weekend.

A back 1/2'd fully built drag car is just that, a drag car. No more sunday cruises on back roads, top down air up w/the stereo on.

However, each to their own, only my feelings and what I'm looking for from my car.

W/that said, I am certainly looking to see what this year brings though!!

even better to have both

for years i followed rules and regulations within the sanctioning bodies and spent a lot of money in order to do so..but since the records, it is apparent there are no more rules but just outlaw s2000s running and being built. So thus, i threw out the barriers and building something to be competitive. However, it will still remain with a small motor..run what you brung..I know we will.

I'm building my car to compete in NHRA superstock. Talk about rules.....geez.

But it'll also be legal to compete in our local heads up True Street class, and will fit the Hot Rod rules easily too.
