Default "Safe" boost level/limit?

As the topic implies, how much boost in considered as "safe" on a stock F20C with stock headgasket? It seems like many poeple run at around 15psi, is this considered quite safe? (Of course I understand that there will allways be risks, but I think you know what I mean.)

Back in the day, people said you can't boost an 11:1 CR engine.
Then 6psi kits began appearing. Much doom was predicted.
Then 8psi kits began appearing. More doom was predicted.
Then the turbo bug bit hard, and people started boosting like crazy. Many agreed that 10-12psi was "safe".
But the envelope kept being pushed. 12psi became 13psi and finally 14psi.

The correct answer to your question is to work with your tuner and have him tune the car to a level he feels is safe.

15psi is getting a bit high for a daily driver on pump gas. I'm not sure I'd go that high for a car that sees regular use. (My peak boost is 15.5psi right now because I can't get my boost limiter working, but my car is supercharged so it almost never sees that much pressure in normal driving.)

inline pro says 11psi is max on stock compression and on pump gas. with e85 or water/meth you should be able to do 14-15 safely from what innovative motorwerks says... thats totally up to you tho

Highly dependent on the turbo setup and tuning. High exhaust flow and efficiency helps improve the boost levels you can run. Log manifolds seem to have much lower boost limits. Large turbos with high flowing turbos seem capable of much more boost before running into trouble.
