Default Safe A/F readings?

Specs:

-Greddy Turbo kit
-Fidanza flywheel
-ACT pressure plate & OEM disc
-Berk 3" headerback with HFC
-PORTED WASTEGATE
-BRK8EIX spark plugs
-Castrol Magnatec 5W-40 Full synthetic engine oil

-AEM UEGO gauge
-Autometer 3376 full sweep electric boost gauge

-"European" Octane 98 gas

The Emanage Ultimate was previously tuned by a former owner..

I did some carefull testing on the streets and i got the folowing results from the Boost & wideband gauge:

BOOST: 10-11PSI

-Idling AF 15
-Cruising AF 14/15/16
-Slowly getting on the gas and into boost ( 5 PSI ) AF 12/13
-Full boost 3500-5000RPM AF 11-12.5
-Full boost highway 5000-6000RPM AF 10-10.5

The thing is, the AEM uego CANNOT read lower than AF 10! so i might be hitting AF 9.5 or something... way to RICH!

But it looks like that i can drive around pretty safely on this "old" tune.. I do have an appointment to get a NEW tune..

What do you guys think?

p.s. sorry for the double post ( GReddy topic ) but i think MUCH more people are reading it this way...

Looks fine to me for fuel, not sure about ignition timing but since this was already tuned it should be ok

I agree, who knows where timing is, and the fuel looks good other then WOT on highway, that is way too rich. I would not run any richer then low 11's in that area. You really should not need to run in the 10’s anywhere in the fuel curve. You don’t want to be wasting fuel and power at min, or fuel washing your motor worst case.

Yeah definitely too rich there to the point of bogging down. Fine for driving around as long as timing is fine as others have mentioned.

I would get it tuned but it should be fine just driving around until then.

Does it do the motor much harm running 10's?

It will take some weeks until i can get her tuned and i must say, boost is addictive!

Chances are it wont, but it could potentially. Especially if you’re dipping down to 10 flat and cant see if your running richer then that

yeah but like you said it only does that at WOT at high rpms. I wouldn't think it would be horrible for the car and you would probably feel it bog down if it was that bad. But you should still get it looked at.

Go get it tuned and stop beating up the car on the freeway. I am sure it wouldn't cost much to get it on a dyno especially if it already had a decent map.

I just don't fully understand what you current situation is and why you think it is ok to be pushing a heavily modified turbo car so hard without first bring it to a tuner.

Well, actually i drove less than 40miles with the turbo setup. And just ONE freeway run in 4th and 5th gear...

I bought this kit from another member ( i live in europe ) and it was previously tuned by the former owner. I just did some A/F testing to see if it was any good and not running lean so i could safely drive to my tuner within a few weeks. ( tuners are rare here! )

The reason i posted it here is because i THINK the values look pretty "safe" to drive the car during the waiting time before it gets fine tuning... ( No highway boost! )

Thanks for helping out!
