Default Sandwich block for CTSC oil return/drain line?

Instead of having the oil return/drain line going to the oil pan drain bolt hole can I just have it go to an aftermarket sandwich block before the filter? If so why havent people do this?

Oil at the filter is pressurized. Oil drain needs to be gravity drained to the oil pan/girdle/timing cover

If I get what you're trying to ask, the drain bolt needs to use gravity to drain back to the block. If you line in the oil sandwich to the drain, you'll pressurize the Paxton gear box and more than likely blow the seals and have a big mess!

Oh ok I was thinking that if I used a shorter drain hose it would work but I guess not. I currently have the line running to the drain plug which I don't think is working as well as it can be if I tap the pan above the drain hole.

Why do you think its not working well enough going into the drain bolt? I don't think I've heard of a single blower failure caused by issues from having the oil return line sent to the drain bolt location, and its that way on every single Comptech and SOS blower package ever sold. That's a lot of blowers that are working just fine the way they are.

I know it works but Im assuming that while oil is sitting at the bottom of the pan, the oil from the blower has no where to go and would only sit at the bottom of the line(unless there is nothing at the bottom of the pan of course). Not only that but I do about 6 oil changes a year and it gets frustrating having to remove the hose every time.

You are overthinking things on what is a proved system.

Six oil changes is excessive unless you are covering some serious millage or you race the car. Second, if you tighten the plug insert in to the pan correctly you can just removed the line fitting when draining the oil.

I've drilled and welded a boss into my oil pan for a temperature sensor and I can speak from experience that the pan can be easily warped. IMO I'd stick with the standard CT/SOS setup.

Ill leave it as is. Might weld a bung on the timing chain cover if anything. Hate not having a magnetic drain bolt.
