Default SC 1/4m times? Set my expectations

Is 6 grand worth it for an SC?

What sort of times can one expect with a SC installed. Or even better what was your best s2k SC'd 1/4m time?

If you're just looking for 1/4mi don't go the SC way, go Turbo. With bolt on's and supercharger expect low to mid 12's.

Perhaps with a high rpm clutch drop you can. But in order to do this safely over a long period of time, you will need to upgrade your clutch and rear end... and this results in more cost.

You have to specify at what level of boost.

In 2001, Comptech's S2000 with 7# pulley (stock is 5# with AC) and 4.44 gears did 0-60 in 4.7 and quarter mile in 13.3 sec @ 108mph.

That's a relatively high trap speed for the overall time. It's due to our low rpm "dead zone." As opposed to the faster quarter mile time but lower trap speed of an AWD car like an EVO. But from highway speeds, the trap speed is more representative of the "speed" rather than the overall quarter mile with out low rpm "handicap."

I know people will swear that they do quarter miles in the 12s on stock boost. But people also swear that their N/A S2000 can beat C6 Corvettes and E46 M3s....

WARNING: MAG RACING AHEAD! DISREGARD IF YOU'RE BITTER AND CRANKY!!!!

For example:

2001 S2000 with Comptech 7# pulley and 4.44 gears: 13.3 @ 108
2005 Comptetition Pkg M3 with SMG: 13.3 @ 104.4
2004 Evo RS: 13.2 @ 99.8

Which car is faster? Evo is the winner in the quarter mile, but anything other than standing start the results would be different.

Just trying to highlight the point that it's silly to just compare quarter mile times.
