Default SC + Header

I cant get a clear answer if anyone has seen any gains other than weight savings from switching headers.

I read through almost all the topics on headers from the cheapo ebay stuff to the hytech and plm.

The only header ive seen geared towards the SC s2000 is the berk one with the bigger primaries. I also couldn't get any clear info the the headers that the primaries are paired different from stock. On a SC setup (skunk2 hytech)

The only reason why im asking is cause im doing the clutch this weekend and if i have to loosen the header it might be a good time to just change it.

Thanks guys

waste of money IMO, the OEM header is really good. Compare any other cars OEM header(s) to the S2000's and the S2000 header looks like an expensive upgrade.

Agreed, save your money for other mods. OEM header flows great

That was my logic as well which is why i never bothered with one. Its just so tempting since the clutch is getting done... Mostly since even the cheap ones have a 2.5" collector. Im sure that has to help somewhat.

I remember reading somewhere on here that 4-1 headers were better for SC, I don't know if that's true or not. Power wise, I doubt it'll help much, Sideways, Torque Obsessed and some of the other SC guru's could answer that better. If anything, you save weight with an aftermarket header.

I left my stock headers on for now but was wondering the same thing. From my research and what my tuner said, it seems like it would provide minimum gains. But I know if I go with one I would probably go Berk or PLN.

Was wondering this as well but from all the digging I've done on here I'm going to stick with the stock headers and just upgrade the exhaust and toss a test pipe in.

wouldnt you have to retune after a header? or at least it would be a good idea to retune.

what clutch set up are you getting?

Im kinda doing everything at once.

3.2" pulley, 1000cc injectors, and aem ems At the same time. (As well as a bunch of other small crap. plugs, diff oil, mtf, new catch can set up, etc)

Before I do that I was going to swap the clutch, break it in and then tune. So I would be getting tuned with the header.

I have an ACT PP and Oem honda disk waiting to go in.
