More people will help if you describe the noise a little better.

If it's a comptech mine used to make different sounds at different temps. Every Paxton blower I've ever heard does that. I would doubt they you fried the inside unless you don't change your oil regularly, have an oil restriction, or run crazy boost.

Is a Vortech SC running 9lbs and I changed the oil every 5000 miles, so you think is normal then right?

So you are saying by changing oil every 5000 which is 2000 more then what they recommend will hurt the blower bearing????

The oil will burn especially with more boost. I change mine every 1750 miles. Its cheaper and less time consuming than rebuilding a motor or SC. The additives usually don't last that long either.

1750 might be excessive but 5000 is a long time. Do you consume any oil?
