I'm running a Vortech kit and have unpgraded my Clutch and swapped out my spark plugs to NGK 7173.other then that I put 19k miles on it so far without issue.

Yeah,Drivr your car like this and save money and buy a clutch and when the OEM fails just have it home to change it ASAP.
And this is all related on how u drive your car.

i hear you should change the clutch at the same time because they have to remove the SC to put it in. doing it at the same time as the SC install will save you labor costs/your own time if you choose to do it yourself.

you swapped your plugs but do you have to change them every oil change? also should i get any gauges? i'm getting a CTSC/AC kit sometime soon.

Swap plugs to the NGK 7173 coppers every OTHER oil change.

Gap them to .034

Most people run synthetic oil also.

No need for gauges but they are nice to have.

Maybe get an extra SC belt

Check your setup weekly for loose fittings, oil levels and leaks.

Keep your ail filter clean

n00b question, but how do you "gap" plugs? i thought you use them as you buy them...

Usually the platinum ones come pregapped. Most of us are running copper plugs and changing them more often for better performance.

You can get a plug gap tool for a buck or two at your local auto parts store.

It's old school stuff

Make sure when you gap the plugs not to damage the center electrode.

Wire measure is best to test gap.
