Guys as much as this hurts me and the ego of my car, last Thursday we hat a bigger meet (10 s2k wooow ) and the only Vortech SC 2003 came as well.

To cut a short story even shorter, I have 4.57 gears, LoveFab boosting 8psi and he has the stock Vortech, stock gears, Spoon header and had cat+stock exhaust.

From a death stop, I leave him for deadt BADLY. From a 2nd gear roll I pull 1.5 cars in no-time BUT once we reach insane speeds (100mph+), he starts SLOWLY walking on me. Both had top downs, he has even a Mugen wing.Maybe it has something to do with the gears, I don't know but at 125mph we are door to door and he walks on me

NOTE|:I have a slight compressor wheel damage and temp. correction was enabled only yesterday. So with a new turbo-core and slight re-tune, I should be ahead from 0 to top speed. But don't expect any night and day differences once the SC is rolling because once you are above 6500RPM, there isn't much difference between these 2 set ups.
Turbo accelerates MUCH faster from just about any gear , but once both cars are doing atleast 160mph, the supercharger is even or starts walking.

Been there, done that.

something is not working in your car.

I had a Comptech SC with 7 psi pulley and now a Turbo at 7,5 psi and the turbo is a lot faster

Regarding numbers turbo made 40 more hp.

Peace

I didn't want to say anything, but I suspect his mechanic may be relatively inexperienced...she might struggle to spot that boost leakage in the depths of his engine bay with those shades...

Slight?! Thats ****ed!

I would be worried about small fragments coming off. You can get creep in the blades too, which you won't be able to see.

As for turbo vs SC, a SC delivers its power in a very different way and you get more the faster you go. most turbo's run out of puff way before the redline, hence he's catching you.

Added to that the lost compression from your compressor wheel, and its going to be really underperforming.

Interested to see what it will be like with a fresh one on there.
