I guess if your at the track, you can lay a bag of ice on top of the aftercooler.

I got the spearco front mount just for looks. I never got a chance to use the one that came with the kit.

Anyone here use the water wetter stuff in their aftercooler? I just use 50/50 radiator fluid and water and seems to work well cause mine is cool to the touch.

Here's a noob question: why is it that everyone on the S2ki forum calls that Comptech water-to-air intercooler an "aftercooler?" It's cooling the pressurized air between the forced-induction device and the intake manifold...just like any other intercooler.

It's called an aftercooler to distinguish it from and air-air cooler.

But if we really want to get pedantic they are all actually aftercoolers. Technically an Intercooler is a charge cooling device between two compressors. An Aftercooler is a charge cooling device after the last compressor and before the engine.

What is the piping? Mild steel? Aren't you concerned about rust developing and going into the engine?

Because air-to-air and a liquid-to-air are both charge cooling devices between two compressors, wouldn't "intercooler" be the more apropos term, as the prefix "inter" means between? "Aftercooler" sounds like the misnomer, as, yes it is cooling air after one compressor but before another (i.e. between). In fact, I don't see any mention of the word aftercooler on the Bell Intercoolers website in the either the A/A or L/A sections.
