We've had some questions regarding supercharger upgrades from Paxton.

Paxton offers a credit of $500-1000.00 for a new Novi 1200/1220 if you ship a good working Novi 1000 to them for inspection. I do not know the criteria on determining the credit value. The credit is off the retail price of a new unit, which is $2600.00+.

ScienceofSpeed offers new Novi 1220 units for $1657.00 and Novi 1200 units for $1695.00 in the correct configuration for the mounting plate. So, customers may find it more economical if they sell their Novi 1000 and buy a new supercharger outright from ScienceofSpeed. There is the additional benefit of no down time. Either way will allow you to extract some value out of your Novi 1000.

regards,
-- Chris

Chris/SOS, quick question. Are the volute's identical for the 1220SL and the 1200 oil-fed units? Just wondering because if I exchange my 1220SL for a 1200 from Paxton, the volute that comes with the 1200 will not be powdercoated.

The volute and supercharger assembly are matched pairs from the factory. You should consult with Paxton's tech support on how best to do this. I believe Paxton can upgrade a 1220 to a 1200 by replacing the impeller and internal components, keeping your existing volute. Note that this is only for a Novi 1220, not a Novi 1000, which this topic is about.

hi guys --

There wasn't enough interest to pull a group buy off, so we've simply made this part available on our website now.

Looks like I should have saved some income tax return funds for this. After running my Novi 1000 for 2 years, I would like to experiment with a 1220 or 1200.

Interesting. I have had my Comptech on for several years. I am already running an AEM with 650 injectors and a SARD FPR. What would be required to upgrade to the 1200 with a higher boost pulley? Also, I currently have no aftercooler. Looking to add one. What are my best options?

Thanks

Chris, do you know the size of the hex bolts that hold the volute on the supercharger?

One of mine (facing downwards) came loose and fell out thus the charger was leaking tons of oil! Do you know what size these plug hex bolts are? IS it safe to use thread lock on them?

thanks!

Question about the Novi 1200 compared to the Novi 1000. Is it the exact same measurements in size? I have a custom FMIC setup so I'm curious.

No, the 1200 is larger in size.
