You save $79.00 if you buy the supercharger with the larger heat exchanger.

However, with the stage 1 kit, there should be no increase in peak power, although there may be less heat soak so that the power would stay consistent between pulls.

If you have any questions, please contact the office as I'll be out all of next week.

Cheers,
-- Chris

Do you have any numbers to show that this actually makes a difference vs the radiator that comes with the kit?

I'm seriously considering getting this upgrade kit for my Comptech kit, as I'm getting ready to up my boost from 7 psi to 10 with a Kpro Tune.

I know there's a lot of guys out there with 10+ PSI on their VT or CT kits for years now w/o this kind of upgrade, but I would like to find out if any of you guys saw any increase in your normal operating temperature, or aftercooler water pump failure? And would you be considering this upgrade in your near future?

Thanks!

Quick bump.

Is anyone using this heat exchanger for there CT/VT kit?? If so, please give a quick review.

The spec on this page only says how much larger it is compare to the stock kit, but it says nothing about how well/long this new core could keep the temperature down.

For example, I found that at 11psi, 80 degrees temp, with open hood, just after 3 or 4 hard pulls in each gear simulating driving in traffic, the temp. goes from 115 to 140+ degrees basically completely heat soaking just after a few stop and go.

Chris @ SOS, do you have any additional data you could provide about this product. I tried calling twice, but once you were busy, and the other time, no one answered.

Thanks!

It's much larger than the Comptech unit.

:edit: picture above is from SoS website.

I am considering replacing my Comptech exchanger with this one. I need to bring down my Intake Air Temps drastically.

group buy?

Count me in on that Group Buy if it does happen. I want the SoS exchanger and their water pump.

I would definitely be in for a GB on one of these - especially if we get enough interest to get them down in the $325-350 shipped range.

The only thing holding me back was that $399 plus shipping charges, probably fresh hoses, clamps, etc. starts approaching $500 - and that's without the higher volume pump. I'd kinda like to hear from someone who actually bought one for the CT S/C before I spend that. It would seem to make sense that temps should be kept in check by this, but by how much?
