Secondary O2 Sensor Necessary?

Default Secondary O2 Sensor Necessary?

Long story short, release bearing failed in my transmission. Pulled it, replaced it with OEM... put it back together and I'm throwing a CEL - P0141


Tried clearing it... won't go away. Got back under the car, checked the connectors and sensor and even swapped the plugs around (two sensors have the same plug) everything seems fine. Can't clear the code.

Decided to go into my Flashpro settings and uncheck the Secondary O2 Sensor box.
Is it ok to run like this or should I go as far as replacing the sensor? I never had an issue before and this was the second time i had the transmission out in 2 months.

Secondary O2 sensor is only there to check the efficiency of the cat, other than that it is not needed.
I don't think there is any other connector that fits that plug though, unless you plugged both O2 sensor (ecu side) connectors together which is very bad.

^^^ Not sure how I would do that usually one end is a male connector and the other is a female connector.

You can plug the input of the 2nd O2 sensor into the input of the 1st o2 sensor. It has happened and can fry the ECU
