Default Should I buy this used greddy kit?

Okay So I'm thinking about picking a greddy turbo kit up used. It's one of the first kits ever made and it comes with everything except for the emanage, harness, downpipe and intercooler. He wants 900 for the kit. Now I look at it like this. The emanage is gonna run me 500 with the harness and the downpipe if I can find it 200ish and the intercooler I found one for 150 picked up. So I'm paying about 2g for a used greddy turbo kit that needs pieced together. Should I even bother buying this to save the extra 400 bucks or buy a complete used kit?? The stuff he's giving me i could put to tether for around 750 if I shopped around I'm guessing. 250 for the turbo 180 for the injectors, 150 for the manifold, and 150 bucks for the misc bolts and stuff like the oil relocation kit. So should I do it or should I just save up and buy a complete greddy kit?

did some searching on s2ki and came up with this. Rang0s2000 is sellin the turbo for 225 shipped and the manifold for 150 shipped. im sure he would do 350 for both shipped because with the downpipe hes doing 400 shipped.

so that is 350 for that stuff.
$225 shipped for injectors from enity
like i said 50 for the aluminum plate
another 100 for misc bolts and stuff

so for what hes giving me i could pay 725 and get everything. That's with me searching for parts and stuff for 10 minutes on s2ki.

Still think its worth it? oh btw he said he was going to give me extra oem parts to make up for the missing parts. He said he'd give me an port and polished head which i don't need mine is perfect at 55k, a radiator?, oem clutch? no need for that, fans, cams, cam gears. basically all of his crap that he has sitting collecting dust. I thought i could sell all this stuff and basically get the turbo kit for free or at least sell the head for like 400 shipped to make some money back and buy the missing parts. What do you guys think?

How much should i pay him for all of this stuff???

Turbo kit:
Greddy T518z-10cm turbo charger
SUS Manifold 42.7mm
Oil Filter Relocation Kit
4 x 550cc injectors
255 lph Fuel Pump
Airinx Intake
RFL blow off valve
All Piping for Inner cooler and hoses for turbo kit

Extra parts:
F20 ported head and exhaust manifold
OEM radiator
OEM throttle body
OEM rotors Front and Rear
OEM Brake Pads
OEM clutch
Greddy Oil Cooler Kit
OEM Header
OEM Air filter assembly w/ filter

this is what he was giving me

the only real reason to buy a greddy kit is that it's emission legal but if you introduce new part to it it's no longer a complete greddy kit and i doubt they will still let you pass smog(if applied) with the carb EO stickers

and yeah, resale value will go down the tube as well.

i would just go custom if you don't need the smog legal thing, its going to net you so much more power with less cash

oh yeah, don't forget to set a chuck of cash aside for dyno tuning

yeah that's what i figured. I don't really care about the carb legal issue because in pa if it passes emissions it will be okay. If i do end up getting this kit i will replace all the missing parts with authentic greddy parts, but as the cost of how much this kit is really worth i think around 750 is a legit price on the kit for what its missing and the work i have to do to get all the missing pieces.

lol I don't understand why people keep selling the downpipe independently from the rest of the greddy turbo kit. I was going to buy a greddy kit until the kid sold the downpipe alone for some stupid reason. After that I was no longer interested.

I pieced together a Greddy kit with a GT3071R for a pretty decent amount. If you have the install guide from Greddy's site it's pretty easy to figure out exactly what you need. It's a bitch though, just a warning. If you don't read everything beforehand there is stuff you're bound to miss.

yeahhh i read the greddy kit install on s2ki and it seems pretty staight forward. I installed a turbo kit on my friends car and my past 2 cars so im familiar with installing them, but that doesn't mean it will be easy to install on the s2000. I saw that it takes around 16 hours to install by yourself. I'll look into it deeper before i jump into buying this kit. Thanks for the heads up itlnstalyn how much did you spend if you don't mind me asking. Did you go aem ems kpro or stick with the ultimate?

x2 on that lol.... he doesn't have the intercooler, greddy emanage ultimate, sling harness, or the downpipe. i'm sure there are other things missing from the kit also. I'm going to have to think about dumping money into this thing or just wait until March for my tax return and get a inline pro kit. , but do i really want to dump 8000+ on a turbo kit. I could spend 3000 more and get another s2000 lol....

as the motto around here goes spend the money to do it right the first time. I would just wait until you have the money to get a new turbo kit less headache and you are pretty much dealing with one vendor when you are tryin to troubleshoot problems IMO

Don't do it. I bought a used Greddy kit for a steal, and it had 95% of the parts. Mostly missing bolts here and there. This guys "kit" really isn't even a kit anymore! I personally wouldn't do it, because like others have said, who knows what else is missing!
