should i wrap my mase manifold?
should i wrap my mase manifold?? under hood temps is starting to get way to hot. I feel like things will start to melt. Are there any bad things abount wrapina manifold?
Just my opinion but i think the atp stuff looks like poo. Looks like tin foil. A quality wrap job looks way better. Gef the dei titanium wrap and the stainless ties. Take your time and get the wrap tight and even and it looks good. About one tenth the price too. Not too mention every time you have to work on it you have to take all that shit off. Ill bet money after a couple of times of on and off the atp stuff is fubar.
my manifold is ATP wrapped.. it's very sturdy, thick and pics do not do it justice.. you need to see it in person. The material itself (inconel) has high heat shielding properties which accounts for most of the pricing. IMO it is definitely worth it.

DEI FTW.. This is mine..

It will take 1 roll of 2"x50' and 1 roll of 2"x25' to do just the manifold and 1 more roll of 2"x50' for the down pipe.. Make sure you get the titanium wrap because you dont have to wet it to wrap it.

I may be the only one to suggest to NOT get the titanium wrap because you DONT wet it. I've always soaked heat wrap before installing it, it makes for a tighter fit, it doesn't have that "loose" look and fits much neater IMO. Once it dries then you run heat through it; it gets tighter than a pair of skinny jeans; you'll never have to worry about it.
A pic of the setup from my old 88 HB...where everything is close quarters so keeping heat down was a must.
