Well its time i upgrade to a 3" single exhaust. Right now i run a q300. I love the sound of it as its very quite till my wastegate opens up. Are their any 3" exhaust that wont destroy my ear drums? Would a custom straight pipe be stupid loud? What exhausts are u turbo guys running?

 

I plan on running a electronic cut out mated to the stock exhaust or a quiet one like you have now. I would look into that if you dont want to give up your current exhaust.

 

I modified my factory mufflers and made them straight through 2.5".

It is all 3" until it splits near the diff. into two 2.5 tubes.

It is by far the quietest straight through exhaust I've ever had. I also do not have any resonator.

 

I'm running a 3" vibrant resonator and a APEXi N1. It is really a very unique sound and not stupid loud. A little droning though at a constant 5k

 

Get an ultimate racing 3" ur in Canada so it's cheap like 500 brand new

 

I've got the HKS single and its very quiet.

 

I will also 2nd the HKS exhaust. It is dead quite very little increase over stock with the turbo.

 

I dont like the look of the canister style mufflers. Who runs a custom straight pipe? How loud will this be without a muffler

 

challenge 76ta-rm sounds great with a turbo. Reapur had that setup - it sounds and looks great

 

I'm running a custom 3 inches header back on my bolt on ap1 right now and it deep a idle and partially throttle but at wot it loud and has a high pitch. It's a full 3 inches header back to a magnaflow oval muffler.
