Smaller Pullies
The Vortech V-2 supercharger has a maximum impeller speed of 53,000. This is to be exceeded at no time. The following are supercharger pulley sizes and the max rpm and actual impeller speed.
pulley engine / impeller
inches ** rpm / rpm
5.0 **12200 / 52704
4.5 **11000 / 52800
4.4 **10790 / 52969
4.3 **10550 / 52996
4.25 **10400 / 52857
4.2 **10300 / 52972
4.1 **10000 / 52683
4.0 **9800 / 52920
3.9 **9550 / 52892
3.85 **9400 / 52738
3.8 **9300 / 52863
3.75 **9200 / 52992
3.7 **9075 / 52978
3.6 **8800 / 52800
3.5 **8500 / 52457
3.4 **8300 / 52730
3.35 **8200 / 52871
3.3 **8090 / 52953
3.2 **7850 / 52988
This information is available on the Vortech website.

The rpm numbers may be rounded off.
The interesting part is where the max engine rpm creates max impeller rpm ie
the F22C could redline at 8200 and run the 3.35 inch pulley for max boost.

That is good info, As far as the Comptech I was told by Paxtonauto.com that the Novi 1000 the Max impellar speed was 55,300 and change.
Also, are you measuring where the belt travels or the outer diameter of the pulley itself? I know the answer I just wanted to bring it up

The Paxton Novi is geared differently and has different performance numbers. A separate table would have to be developed for the Paxton.
I assume the pulley size is measured where the belt rides.
The 3.8 inch pulley is the smallest I can run without lowering the redline below the peak horsepower rpm, in this case 9250 rpm. I like the topend power and won't give it up for a little torque in the midrange. If I dropped the redline to 8500 I could run a 3.5 inch pulley that would add significant torque through the power band but at the cost of probably 30 or more horsepower up top. Currently the engine is producing adequate torque so I settled on the added horsepower with the 9300 redline.

This is the predicament that I will be facing soon since I just installed my 3.5" pulley. I am just hoping that it makes enough top end power to sacrifice some so I can have some torque.

i just ordered the 3.25 is there a set rpm range to shift at to be safe for the comptech.

so they dont have to big of a rpm limitation like the vorech SC's
They both (Comptech and Vortech) have revolution limits. That is supercharger revolutions and not engine revolutions. The pulleys allow the ratio between the supercharger and engine to be altered thus changing boost.
