If everything checks out...its the oil seal on the turbo. They don't last forever.

The turbo should be no more than 20deg clocked. If your line is filled when running youre not getting adequate drainage back into the pan for whatever reason.
you do have the pan tapped at its most ideal location but just double check your oil level so its "just right". It could be its draining good when accelerating but pooling when braking and idling...
also make sure your line or fitting doesnt go horizontal too

Thanks for the info guys, I'm going to let the car warm up tomorrow and see what the clear hose shows for drainage and go from there!

I've been using mobil 1 5w-40 turbo diesel forever. I've had great luck with rotella on my subarus so I might give that a shot too.

So I got the car warmed up and the oil is def not backing up in the line. However because the turbo is clocked ~25 degrees could there be a little bit pooling internally? That wouldn't show in my drain line...

Looks like I'll drop the DP and clock it back and see what happens.

So a follow up. I dropped the manifold to clock the turbo more vertical and I noticed liquid oil in cylinder 1 exhaust port

Looks like the head needs a rebuild but I at least found my answer!

You can might get away with just replacing the valve guide seals. The process would be the same as people do for replacing the retainers without removing the head from the block.

I'm on 911 forums a lot. I read the thread below 2 hours ago then stumbled onto yours.

"I've been around cars a long time and knew this was improper valve seal install."
