Default So if I go turbo...

If I go SC then I will probably get the SOT supercharger, but on the other hand I am still open to going turbo.

My goal is a reliable 350RWHP with a minimum of fuss for under $5000 (not including clutch, etc). I would prefer a kit to piecing things together for warranty reasons. A smaller turbo is preferable to minimize lag and improve drivability.

I need a direction to start my research... what are your ideas?

As far as I know the SOT kit all said and done will be well over $5K, correct? It's not impossible to stay under that $ amount, but I think your best choice would be Turbo or SOS stage 1 kit. I think it makes right around that HP. Take a look at Inline Pro's stage 1. I'm going turbo soon and I think I'll be getting an AFI kit, but that will be closer to $7K.

He'll still need engine management and fuel delivery. That will put him over 5K. I think thats what HMFIC was referring to.

Sounds like a SC would be your best option. Look at SOS, Vortech. Turbo is gonna run you more than 5k cause you will need to do exhaust and some other stuff.

the hard part is the 5k budget.

clutch alone is gonna be 600
to get 350+ reliably really gonna need emu or stand alone
emu is 600ish, used stand alone is 1000

hard to find a complete FI kit new for s2k for 3400, hell even used is kinda tough. not impossible, but tough.

no budget, and sick power goals, mase turbo kit
no budget, 400whp or less power goal, i am biased SOT kit

Hmmm... Inline Pro kit starts at $3995 on their website. I'm gonna have to do some more research... add fuel, engine mgmt, exhaust, clutch... it might work out.
