Default someone please help with my turbo map!

i have an ems for my turbo 01 s2k and i need to be able to drive 2hrs to jotech to have it tuned. i am trying to run a borrowed map that was a simular set up to mine but im getting what seems to be no fuel (aka engine is just trying to kick over) i started the engine on the stock ecu and it was running extremely rich, when i plugged in the ems it only kicked of=ver for just a second because of the fuel left over from when i had previously started it.
my set up is
precision 1000cc
t3/60-1
5.5 wate gat spring

i dont know how to post it but i can shoot it to anyone

My thoughts on the matter would be to put in the base S2000 map from AEM and drive very very slowly (shifting before boost) to the shop. That's what I did with my vortech and it worked out good. I kept the car under 3000prm the whole way...which probably pissed off the people on the highway but oh well

Wait..saw the 1000cc injectors...you'll need to change the injector setting on the map. Real easy to do. First, click setup, injectors, primary, primary batt injectory offset wizard and find the injectors that you have. Then open up the fuel section, in the fuel map table view select all values, right click - change injector/pressure, enter 320 cc/min at 40lb/ft2 as old, 1000cc/min at 40bl/ft2 for new, and hit ok. This will update the fuel map to run the new injectors.

If they do not have the injectors that you have in the wizard, you may have a slight problem. Also if you are using low impedance injectors and don't have a resistor pack, you will really be in for troubles. Hope this helps

replace your plugs....I think they are fouled.

I recommend that you get your car tow to your tuner rather than mucking around with this.

However, if you insist;
go to aempower.com and get fperra's map,
it's a boost compensation conversion off my 3d map
I spent a lot ot time with start and idle tuning with that map for the 1000cc injectors.

Also
what is your fuel pressure?
are you using any ballast resistors for the injectors

Send me your map and I'll take a look at it. Also, what are the full specs on your engine. Compression ratio, sleeved block, MAP sensor, etc. PM me with the info. I'm runing the AEM ems and 1000 cc Precsion injectors.

Dahn, take a look at my map. It's totally different from the one you sent. Fuel and timing were derived by street and dyno tuning. Not totally done yet though. The timing map was actually based on an early CB80 map, but highly modified. I'm getting pretty good with tuning the EMS, but still a lot to learn. How is your car running? What is your best 1/4 mile time/speed?

I pretty sure you would need to change a lot of it fperra. Every car is different mate. I hope you didn't take it as if I was trying to knock off your credits and hard work

Starting and idling is what this chap is after with these 1000cc injectors so I thought your map posted on the aem site might be best for him, if he insist on self tuning.

Car is getting there and is almost done.
Will hopefully let you know my new best ET next week.

Nope. Just suggest you take a look at it and maybe give boost comp a try. I'm anxious to see what kind of times you run. I'm planning to dyno this Friday and push the boost up to 18 psi to see if I can break the 500 whp barrier. Then I'm putting my car up on jack stands and replacing the differential with an '04 unit that has gears and case cryo treated. Will also probably replace the tranny with my "04 model and also replace the ultra light weight ATS flywheel with their heavier unit. Too much resonance and noise with the light weight one.

pferra, to be honest I am not a big fan of the boost comp tuning. Not that it's bad or anything but I just prefer to see what I am doing with the 3D map.

I will look at your map one day when I have time. I am pretty sure you would have done a bloody good job mate.

I am anxious to get the car on the track too. The weather overhere has not been too kind for motorsport
