Default SOS Charge cooler water pump

I've got a problem yet again with the connections / wiring to the race heat exchanger / charge cooler water pump. I've had my SOS kit on for 12 years & have replaced the original pump that came as part of the kit with an uprated one a few years ago. When I replaced the original pump, the connections were badly corroded (I'm in the UK so lots of rain / moisture & therefore rust), so I went with more heavy duty wiring to try and mitigate the problem.
Today, I've noticed that my pump isn't working again & I'd be fairly certain that it's the connections / wiring rather than the pump itself.
Has anyone else experienced this problem & if so, how did you fix it?

I'm assuming by uprated pump you replaced the Johnson Controls pump with a Bosch Cobra? It wouldn't be out of the question that the pump simply failed - it happens. What pump did you use? If it was the Bosch Cobra I'd be surprised, as those use a weatherproof OBD1 injector connector. Did you splice the pump pigtail to lengthen it? It's much better practice to find the mating connector kit and pin the wires yourself to the appropriate length with no junctions and no potential for that specific point to fail, IF, that's what happened.

This pump looks HEWG. How has your experience been with this pump? How has it been in terms of keeping your aftercooler temps consistent etc?

Plasmaman uses a smaller BOSCH pump ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/15307946226...3Avlp_homepage ) for their water to air cooler setups that might look more thrifty on space. I am wondering because I have a SOS kit I will be installing soon and it definitely has the Johnson (newer style) pump included...

Pump has been on for 5 years & yes, it's bigger than the original one that came with my kit 12 years ago, but it definitely does the job. Here is the description from their website:

OEM Upgrade Intercooler / Chargecooler Pump, superior power and flow output compared to the original Bosch Pump

Our industry standard 1200L per hour capacity, and more stable head pressure than the original Bosch pump. Will improve performance in all OEM applications. Exact drop in fitment, no modifications required what so ever.
