SOS gauge pod install?
Hey guys. I finally got my Greddy kit finished and ran it last night. Wow!! I really missed that turbo feel I had with my old eclipse. I also, installed a SOS a pillar guage pod with AEM tru boost and UEGO gauges. I got the gauges in okay but the gauge pod seems to be a little tight over the existing A pillar cover (which SOS says it is supposed to go right over the existing cover). I drilled holes in the OEM a pillar cover and ran the gauge wires behind the OEM cover and then into the SOS pod into the gauge. It fits fine at the bottom, but it sticks out on the top, especially on the front windsheild side. It definately doesn't look like it does on SOS's website. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, is it fixable? Thanks!
Are tou sure about that. Read the site explaining the gauge pod. It specifically says that the SOS gauge pod fits dirrectly over the existing A pillar TRIM.

That seems pretty self explainatory. Besides , I originally held just the SOS pod up to the bare A pillar and it seemed way too loose at the top, leaving big gaps, and the short screw they give you won't reach anything in the A pillar to attach to.
Are you guys running the gauge pod without the original trim? If you are, how did you attach it. I would love to see some pics of this. Thanks guys!

just take off the stock a pillar cover, fit the SOS in its place, and you'll see it was made to fit that way.
mine rattles a lot though. so i'm going to put some silicone adhesive on the underside and see if that helps.

I installed mine without the trim (I didn't want any holes in my original trim), there is a screw at the top that you have to angle to get it to hit some plastic. Mine fits fine and doesn't rattle or anything.

I have one. It fits like crap, and rattles like crazy.
I can't help the poor fitment. It's a good pod, but it does not fit that great. The cut is bad in spots, and the top of mine was flared out bad. I'm going to have to hit it with the heat gun to make it fit better. Add in the fact that the mounting screw was 1" low, and it's easy to see why it fits poorly.
