Why? Just curious as I’ve been thinking about going with this set up. Obviously PTuning would be the best but given availability SOS seemed like a decent viable alternative.
I ran an SOS TS Max 3582 non billet (first turbo system). Made 420s with 300wtq 12ish lbs. Honestly the extra dough for billet isnt warranted in my opinion. It spools stupid quick as is; I think the difference might be Around 200 rpms sooner.
After going fbm v2 from the sos mid 2017, I quickly realized how fun to daily and drive regularly the sos ts max was. The long end of a 1/4 you would get reeled in by another system, but it would suprise a lot of builds, domestics etc.
I actually loved the down low torque so much (sos) I ended up going 6.2 liter crate. Its fun to drop in though and happen to see a post about where it all started.
I was going to buy the ptuning kit but heard the have issues with the band clamp design and leaking water lines.
I run evo coolant hard pipes off the turbo, then connect the hoses to the hard pipes. I have zero coolant issues, same for the other car I put together with a ptuning kit.
I have not heard or seen issues with the v band clamps.
I've heard complaints of the engine mount, but if you slice an 1/8in off the 2 inserts (where they touch), you greatly reduce vibration.

3576 flat lined on power with 93 octane only. It pushed me off so bad I took the kit off within a week of the dyno session.
I would hold out for the ptuning kit and use the gtx3076 g2 turbo.
