Default spark plug gettinga small V notch

I have bkr78 spark plugs for my turbo application. I am running at around 10psi. I pulled the plugs and noticed some wearing into the electrode part of the plug right in the center shaped like a small V. I immediately replaced all 4 and am going to pick up some other iridium style plugs today. Obviously this is not normal but what condiditons would be causing this??

Are these the NGK copper racing plugs? They are designed with a V-Notch in them from the factory.

keep copper plugs in for boost..... you need more of an area(electrode) to comsume the heat produced in there.....

yea they are the bkr7e plugs. I just went to summit and picked up 2 sets of 7173's and I'll put them in this weekend. The v notch is supposed to be there. Flame away, but I thought it was running way to lean and burning the electrode.

this isnt true.

while i often run copper plugs on many of the cars i tune due to how inexpensive they are and being very effective, iridiums are very decent as well.
