spark plugs
I know some places to get these spark plugs like sparkplugs.com and rockauto.com, but where and how do i order NGK coppers gapped at 0.034 specifically? Ive seen where i can order them, but at a 0.040 gap. Can you guys help me out? Or maybe another spark plug recommended.
The narrower gapping needed by F.I. owners are not a standard spec on any spark plug meant for this car. You ALWAYS check the gap and set them to what you need BEFORE you put any spark plug into an engine, even if they are supposedly gapped to the correct spec as per the application. NEVER assume that the gap out of the box is what it should be.
^^ Couldn't have said it any better myself.
Go to your local auto store (Pepboys, Advanced Auto, Autozone) and order a set of NGK 7173's - usually takes a day to get them in, atleast locally it does. While you're at it, pick up a spark plug gapping tool - it's very simple task. I usually swing by the store on way to work to get a few sets of spark plugs and gap them while I'm bored at work.
