Default Spugen turbo kit

i visited the spugen website and checks out their performance section of their site and they had their own turbo kit setup but it doesnt show a list of the parts for the kit. i was wondering if anyone has that kit or heard of someone having one and their experiances with it. you hear a lot about the other kits ie: inlinepro, lovefab, ultimate racing etc.. but i havent heard of anyone using this one

IIRC, it's similar to the Ultimate Racing/Stage 6 turbo kits. Isn't this the one Duc had?

I actually bought Ducs kit about a year ago but havnt installed it yet. Ran out of money. He claimed the kit made 319whp on 6psi. I am interested in some opinions as well.

I'm having my Spugen Turbo tuned tomorrow so I'll let ya' know how it feels. I bought a used kit from Greg @ Spugen. The kit is made by Speed Force Racing...just rebadged a Spugen. I tried to get feedback on the kit on this board also, but didn't get any.

IIRC Speed Force Racing was a reputable Porsche Tuner.

Well, the results absolutely suck...218whp @ 4 psi! I'm actually not even kidding. There were several problems...1st, when I bought the kit, the manifold I rec'd was cracked. I sent it back to Spugen, who sent it to SFR to repair. Unfortunately, the repair was rushed (SFR even admitted to me they rushed the job and it wasn't their best work), however, SFR said it may not be pretty, but it'll hold up. My tuner (Ultimate Performance in NoVA) isn't so sure...they said they're afraid the welds will give out if I go over 4 psi. 2nd, the wastegate gasket blew. 3rd, apparently my cat is blocked (emitting sulfur smell). And 4th, my rear pass. brake is binding. So....I've got them replacing the cat w/ a Magnaflow high-flow cat, I'll be replacing the gasket and fixing the brake as soon as i get it back, and not much I can do about the manifold except wait for it to fail. All these things are contributing to the poor nos., but I'm still pretty disappointed to say the least. I'm hoping and praying that replacing the cat and WG gasket and fixing the brake will at least get me into the 280 whp range. When I bought the kit, Greg said the last car they had their kit on made 337 whp and 194lbs. Oh, and I'm running the kit w/ AEM EMS 1052, 550cc injectors, and everything else stock (exhaust, head gasket, internals). Wish I had better news for you all, but no one is more pissed than me right now.

I'm sorry to hear the bad news. I would not take that maniflold back, I would demand a new one. Especially since they admit to doing a crappy job. I thought even with 4psi you would make a little bit more power but I guess the big issue HP wise would be the clogged cat.

By the way do you have any pictures of the install or the final product?

Goodluck on working the bugs out and please keep us updated.
