I would buy one purely for the sound, but still keep my Turbo setup for the power.....

Those things do produce a ton of heat dont they? I would love a roots kit hat could give out 400whp and 280-300 ft lbs or whatever it would be from basically idle to redline. Wild be perfect. Feel like a nice v8 under the hood.

I am still waiting for a twin screw setup for our car, they produce much less heat and would make 400+ hp with an amazing powerband.

Don't forget the Rotrex setups. KW up to 380whp, TTS if you want more than that. Really well suited to the S2000...

They're the LEAST efficient of all blower types. Especially HORRIBLE choice for a high-rev car like an S2000. Keep em on big blocks that can afford to redline at 5500rpm and still make power.

Had a factory TRD roots blower on my Tacoma... what a piece of crap, even with the 7th injector kit it ran too hot and made the thing pre-detonate, well known issue with it for everyone who uses it.

Someone should start making this again! Then I could install it with my turbo kit along with a centrifugal supercharger and 100 shot of nitrous! Beast would be quad-charged! Then I would go sell my car for $100k....

Still doesn't give you the off the line instant torque that a roots or twin screw sc will give you. A little more than a centri blower but still not the same.

^ Well that's only true because of the application, it could be setup to do so if you went with a high twist setup. Even a centrifugal could accomplish the same job but you'll give up power ontop. They can all do each others jobs very closely but they'll give up different amounts in different places. Roots is a lot of physical mass spinning around, just a mess.

Aren't those blowers heavy?

True. The guys who owned Roots blowers claimed it made the car feel like it had a V8 due to the torque. A Rotrex might not do that, but it'll make a lot more power at the top end. It'd be like having a nice V6 with warp drive.
