Default Stock compression and E85?

I´m thinking about a cheap stock engine turbo build for a start, is it even worth the hassle without thicker head gasket?

And also, I want to use E85 to keep the detonations away. What kind of numbers could I expect?

Of course pump, injectors and other parts taken care of.

If you're going to push the motor on E85, it would be wise to get a dual fuel pump setup IMO.

For power with E85, I would like to know the answer too.

If we compare E85 to VP race fuel on Volvo engines we see pretty much the same numbers. Around 100 hp gain on a 500hp engine.

Maybe hard to compare 8,5:1 and 11:1 comp ratio but a huge gain in numbers.

What´s the normal hp limit on stock compression?

Stock compression on the F20c engine has been pushed to 700+ whp on Q16. E85 is very comparable to C16, so I would assume on the stock CR, you could push it to around 650 whp if you wanted to.

That´s a lot of hp´s! I thought you would say 400whp max.

Also, is Greddy E-Manage Ultimate good enough for a turbo build, anyone tried above 400hp?
Got to be the "bang for the buck solution" for the AP1 huh? Nice price and pnp harness.

Thanks guys!

e85 around here isnt too good. there are only a couple of pumps and the car basically needs a re-tune if the fuel comes from a different pump.

i'd never use it for a big power turbo car. too many variables in the supply

is it like that everywhere? I was thinking of it as a future upgrade, but not so sure now.

There's only one that I know of in the whole RDU area, luckily it's right by where I work, so I've considered converting one of my cars like my vr4 or stealth to e85 just for kicks.

I have made upwards of 920whp on a 2.0l 4cyl. using E85. I've also ran upwards of 50 psi on a 11.1 motor.
From my experience E85 always made more power with greater spool up vs Q16.
