Default Stock performance numbers vs SC @ 10 psi

I am considering investing in a supercharger that would boost about 8-10 psi. What would the performance numbers be compared to a stock s2000? 0-60; quarter mile etc. If this info is already posted somewhere point me in the right direction.

So folks spend thousands of dollars on supercharging the s2000 and no one knows any real performance numbers? Is it all measured by the butt dyno?

Look up s2000 videos for supercharged s2k. A 7psi vortech will rape a stock s2k. Looking mid 12's to low 13 car with 10psi 0-60 4.5seconds but that all depends on how you drive.

Here is a vid to get you started:

No it is not measured by the butt dyno, but a dyno doesnt translate into track times, so i think your analogy is off. Drivers ability has more to do with performance statistics than horsepower, especially in a car as peaky as the s2000.

Hyperbole aside... are there not comparison data? What is the standard 0-60 time for a stock S2000 and are there , 1/4 mile or track times that demonstrate a relative level of improvement?

So are you saying that only a "good driver" will be able to realize the benefits of a supercharged S2000? I'm not worried about track times per se. But if I am going to spend significant money, I would like to know what the baseline benefit is. Can someone expect to get .3 or .4 or .5 seconds improvement from 0-60 consistently? You are right, a better driver in a stock S2000 could possibly beat a less qualified one around a track in a SC'd version. But everything else being equal what is the bang for the buck?

As said before, all things being completely equal an average vortech s/c at 10psi will RAPE an average stock s2000 by bus lengths. Dont get me wrong there is probably a bolt on factory freak s2000 out there that can HANG with a vortech on its last legs. Disclaimer: EVERY CAR IS DIFFERENT some make more some make less But on average the S/C@10psi will be in the 340whp range vs 205whp stock. Also 4.5-4.7 0-60 range vs 5.7-6.0 stock. Usually turns the 1/4 in 12.9-13.3@105-110mph vs 14.3-13.9@90-94mph. But thats all things being equal. Ive seen a s/c s2000 run a 15.5@115mph cause the guy couldn't drive.

Thanks. The comparison numbers are helpful.

using the 0-60 time will not tell you much. Since the S2000 is not geared for 0-60 sprints you'll actually be shifting just fore 60mph, either that or with FI you'll be spinning like crazy. Lets also not forget if your launching the s2000 really hard in order to achieve a low 0-60 you can pretty much expect your rear diff to explode, since it was not designed for drag racing in mind. Its pretty much a ticking time bomb if you plan on stop light racing all the time.

Sport Compact car did a comparison around an actual race track which included quite a few superchargered and turbo s2000s and a two OEM power s2000s. Needless to say the FI cars absolutely made the stock S2000s look like toys.

But since you really ask. YES people have done 0-60 times. A Kraftwerks supercharged owner did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Hows that for quick?

Thanks. I'm not really interested in dragging the s2000. Unfortunately, the 0-60 measure is a benchmark that is used to demonstrate performance whether you are talking muscle cars, hybrids or sports cars. Trust me, I appreciate the s2000 experience extends well beyond straight line speed.
