Such thing as the "wrong" flex pipe?

Default Such thing as the "wrong" flex pipe?

I ordered a flexpipe section from ATP Turbo and noticed that the inside had pretty decent ridges for the flex section. The flex pipe I just had on the car had the same braided material on the inside and outside. Im not sure if this would cause any issues with exhaust flow? Just curious, only because I think i heard someone once say they had an issue with their flexpipe being a bad design. Who knows!

This is the ATP one. Notice the ridges for flexability

For the regular flex that I like, the inside is the same SS braided mesh material. Like this...

The regular one can leak and fray over time and people say the ridges rob hp. I have not seem any loss of hp with the ridges.
