super charged newb
I am about to graduate from school and my wife found a nice grad. gift. a 2001 s2000.
Well after she bought it she brought it home and said she killed an evo on the interstate with it. I popped the hood and found a Paxton supercharger bolted on, quite professional looking I might add.
I have been searching these boards trying to piece together exactly what it is my wife bought me. I would greatly appreciate any insight into this set up. I'd like to run something like an Apexi vafc to keep an eye on the boost, af ratio, fuel pressure and so on but have read that there might already be some sort of comp. upgrade on it. Any ideas.
thanks again for any help. I just want quick answers before I blow it up because i'm an uneducated newbie

Wait, your wife bought you - not only an S2000, but a supercharged S2000? Hold on to that one for as long as you can
It sounds like you have a Comptech Supercharger kit, probably at stock boost. If you're happy with the car now, you can leave it, or you can go with a VAFC and get some simple tuning out of the car. If you'd like to up the boost, you can go to about 7 pounds until you need further tuning (Emanage or AEM EMS) with bigger injectors, fuel pump, etc.
You might want to make a few dyno passes, just to see how much power the car is putting down. Do you have an aftercooler? It would be a huge, silver looking box that the supercharger would be shooting into, before going into your intake manifold. If not, the blower would be going straight to the intake manifold. My guess would be that you're making around 275 - 290 rwhp. If you'd like to investigate it further, do some searches for Comptech supercharger setups or ask some questions here
