This thread is selling me on superchargers as well. My turbo thread is definitely scaring me away from turbos, and I really don't want to change the shape of the cars powerband that much

I'd be interested to see similar power level dynos of an SOS kit vs a KW kit

I have a Vortech on my AP2 and driveability is just like stock. It pulls nicer throughout rpm band but really picks up in the upper rpm. The Vortech has been on mine for 15k with no issues. The car is strictly street though and has not seen any track time.
While the stock "tune" for Vortech isn't the best. I highly recommend their products. I have had 2 other cars with their setups and had zero issues with those as well!

Maybe we can do a supercharger group buy

SOS has done these in the past. If you guys develop enough interest and contact Chris@SOS he may put another one together for you. If I remember correctly, the last group buy worked out to being about $500 off.

Drivability is great supercharged - the only difference is the smile on your face - took mine on a 1400 mile round trip to the Dragon last Sept. Very nice - no loss of response. I definitely noticed a big improvement however dropping the fmic unit SOS provides for stock installation. Once I had the AEM ECU installed and tunes - the change was dramatic and made the install worth every penny.

Here is my "need" If you really want to enjoy SC

SOS Novi 1200
AEM or Hondata ECU
1000 cc injectors
Stage Two aftercooler (liquid not air)
SOS Sport clutch or better
a competent tuner (even if you have to travel a couple of hundred miles)

Before you buy anything, decide on Hp and torque goals -
Those items will make your decision on what to purchase & install easier. (clutch, diff, pulley size, etc)

My goal is around 370-400whp. I already have AEM EMS, header, tp, dual exhaust on an f20c.

Looking to add:
act clutch and flywheel
650cc+ incjectors
sos novi1200 with the good aftercooler

i think my goals should come easily with the correct size pulley.

How much added weight am I looking at?

I've been supercharged for the last 55k miles or so. Love it drives just like stock but MUCH faster. I am running the vortech v2 kit at 12 psi making 406whp.
For clutch I recommend the oem clutch disc and bearings with the ACT pressure plate. Drives exactly like stock and no buzz or chatter or anything annoying like that!

For your power goal and assuming eventually you will want a little more I would go with the SOS kit and the Novi 1200 blower.

Assuming your going with the stage 2 aftercooler, your looking at approx. 40 to 45 lb total. (supercharger, heat exchanger, aftercooler, mounting, harware and coolant.)

Sorry guys I'll be the rotten apple.lol. Honestly if you want a FAST car not quick then go with a T/C. I like my S/C S but I miss having full boost at 5000 RPMs instead of 9000 RPM. May do alright against N/A cars but once something with T/C pulls up it's game over for me. Now granted I'm only making 290whp at 6psi with the stage 1 SOS kit but if I made the same power with a T/C it would be night and day with the power curve of a T/C.

Also for both Liquid and OP, I want a beast and once I go down the T/C I don't plan on DD my S anymore. Now this is going to set most off but a T/C is just as reliable as a S/C besides the heat.
