Default Supercharger info/advice

I'm thinking of selling my R6 this summer for a supercharger. I daily my car and will be doing some autox and occasional track days. I want something reiable first off. I'm not looking to have the fastest S around, I just want some reliable FI and not risk blowing my S up. It's a 2003, with test pipe and Asura exhaust. I just got it about a month ago, and I'm still learning it. I drove a miata for 7 years and always wanted the S, now I got one it's time to make it mine. I just changed all fluid, and I've done a thorough inspection, it's in great shape, no leaks, no problems to address.

Anyway here is one I ran accross

I'll have roughly around 4k to spend and not much more. I don't think I'd do turbo mainly because I'll be installing this and be daily driving it. Does anyone have this kit? Any suggestions or advice would be great. So I have 4k to spend, and I'm not worried about the most power, it's all about reliability to me.

Not sure if you are on the market to buy a supercharger soon or if you want to wait till you sell your bike but I have a stage 1 SOS (science of speed) supercharger for sale. It has 8000 miles on it and the belts are in good condition. Do some research and ask around about SOS. I think you'll find their one of the better companies to go with. It's a plug and play system no tune needed and the previous owner said it made 280whp. I'm asking 3 grand for the kit which retails on their website for 5300. PM if your interested.

Sounds good. It'll be a month or so until I'm ready to buy. Trying to figure out the best set up for the money right now

No problem!!!!! If I've found this a month ago and if it were for my 05 I've would've been all over it, but I just ordered a stage 2 with a 11lb pulley...

Read my review in this very section about sos.

This topic has been covered a zillion times, but take the time and read it.

I don't know a lot about supercharger kits and I'm not an expert, but for that price there's no way that it comes with engine managment or fuel system. So that would tack on another 1500 plus a clutch. I have been wanting to go FI as well but I have found that it can not be reliably done foe anything less then 6 or 7k at a minimum. You have to pay to play. And in all my research I would go SOS over anything else.

Thanks for the reply but do some research before you make a comment like the one above. It doesn't come with a stand alone because it's a stage one kit (plug and play). That is why a stage 2 kit cost about 2 grand more because it comes with hondata or AEM and injectors.
