wondering who made supercharger pulley upgrades.. for both units. which unit (vortech or comptech) is getting the most horsepower out of upgraded pulleys. as well as accesories( front mount, injectors, etc) thats needed to get the most out of either unit. Thanks!

Check out Science of Speed and talk to Chris. Just bought a 10lb. pulley from them for my Comptech. Along with the pulley you'll probably need engine management(EMS, e-manage), bigger injectors, and a 1-to-1 fuel pressure regulator.

Either kit, AEM EMS, RC 650cc injectors and tuning. The front mount IMO is mostly for looks unless at the track or on a very very hot day. Looks bad ass. I just bought one. Check the sites below for the upgrade pulley:

Try Tech 2:

Try Science of speed:Science of speed

Or try Comptech, give them a call. Not listed on there site.:
Comptech

Check out ASP. Their pulleys have some improved features over the others and slippage is less of a problem.
http://www.aspracing.com/frame.htm Call them, the web site does not list most of their offerings.

I think the Vortech has more potential than the Comptech.

ASP just made me a 14 pound pulley out of steel instead of Aluminum (less slipping) and they are very knowledgable about this - You need to figure out which system you are going with, I am maxing out my Novi 1000 with the 3 inch pulley but the Vortech blower has a bit more room to grow for more boost - Just ask Sideways

I would estimate about 330whp with my mods. With more boost, more power. 1/4 mile is tough to say considering S2K's at not really the best 1/4 mile cars supercharger. Not only does the power kick in later in the rpms but many things need to be done to the rear end in order tolaunch our cars safely. I would guess high 12's if launched right with high boost. Just a guess.

ZTEC: Do you think that the Novi 1000 can handle 14psi for long periods of time (years)? Also, if I port, polish my head and manifold and get a thicker head gasket (lowering comperetion), do you think I would be able to run 11psi safely with proper tuning and air/fuel ratios?

I am assuming it should be fine but I am pushing the limits of the blower and If I do have a failure I will upgrade to the Novi 2000 which maxes out at 25 pounds, I would keep my current 3 inch pulley and that will yeild me 17 pounds of boost - I figure I will not be running sustained 9000 rpm's so I should get good life out of the blower and to answer your other question about safety and 11 pounds I think that it will be important for you to get a good tune first and I honestly don't know of anyone that has had a thicker head gasket for any period of time to fully answer that part of your question, Hopefully someone will chime in if they know! I should be recieving my Alaniz motor sometime between now and my death so I will follow up as soon as I have some real information -
