Supercharger Start Issues
Hey all,
I have a 2005 Honda S2000 w/ 120,000 miles and recently decided to freshen it up, so I purchased a Kraftwerks Supercharger kit. I did my research and talked to a bunch of people I personally know, and landed on the Kraftwerks Kit. I installed the kit and supporting parts (listed below) and the thing idles super rough, runs lean, and has 0 throttle response. Below are my notes. I recieved a basemap from Jeff Evans and unfortunatly had to push my tuning appointment back bc the car isnt running properly. Wondering if anyone could shed some light. The car, other than the parts below, is bone stock and part have only been replaced with OEM Honda part my entire ownership.
PS: I am just looking for advice, not trashing the kit bc its a Kraftwerks kit.
My Setup:
2005 S2000 - stock motor
Kraftwerks Supercharger
AEM 320lph fuel pump w/upgraded Science of Speed Wirinig Kit
AEM 1000cc injectors
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
AEM Wideband Failsafe Gauge
4-bar map sensor
AEM V2 EMS
Skunk2 Alpha Header
Invidia Test Pipe
Stock S2000 Exhaust (Test pipe back)
Secondary Air System Delete
Megan Racing Intercooler with Mishimoto Fan Shroud
Optimum low profile battery (Fully Charged)
Notes:
The car starts, it idles really rough and bouncing with 4-bar map sensor unplugged. When I plug it back in, the car immediately shuts off. I am thinking maybe the 4-bar is bad? Also, AFR was pinned at 18.0 until MAP sensor was unplugged, then dropped into 14's?
The fuel pressure is at 53psi at idle but still idles like crap.
There is no throttle response at all, but the ECU is able to recognize it through the "throttle calibration wizard" per AEM, and set it twice through that, but not response at all. Possible replace throttle position sensor?
Also, am awaiting an EGR block-off plate. Not sure if that is causing all the issues, but the opening is plugged currently.
The plugs are gapped at .023, should they be closed more for hotter spark?

Well start off by making sure TPS and MAP sensor is working.
If you turn ignition on I think you should be able to read the sensor data in the AEM software, no need to start the car.
TPS reads 0% with no pedal input and responds and ends at 100% with pedal to the floor? If not check wiring and maybe test with new sensor.
MAP sensor shows atmospheric pressure? Try blowing and suck on it and see that it reads vacuum and pressure, you can use a piece of hose as help.
