Supercharger transmission, again!
I read this article in my newest motortrend and they were talking abou this 'nu-vinci' CVT. Check it out:

Honda had a very similar CVT transmission in the HRV and other cars.
The problem with CVTs is they rely entirely on friction so the heat and wear associated with a nigher power engine is way too high.
