Default Supercharger Vortech

As a spontaneous person like I am I bought a S/C without thinking that there is more to it than just buying the S/C. ButI've looked everywhere in this site and I could not really find what I was looking for.

My Car:
MY01
52,500 miles

I recently bought a used Vortech supercharger with defi gauges (oil pressure, boost), and the ACT clutch kit + ACT flywheel from hardtopguy.

Is there anything else I'll need to run the vortech as a daily driver.

I understand that people might want to upgrade their differential but is it necessary? If it is not do I have to baby the car from launch?

How should a car S/Ced w/ stock differential should be driven?

If I do replace the differential, would you guys suggest I just change the gears set up as well? I'm looking at the 4.77 gears.

I'm not looking for 0-60 times, 1/4 times, etc. I just one to have a car that is capable of being pretty fast when I want it to.

Please let me know ANY of your suggestions regarding this matter. If I am missing any questions that I should be asking please let me know.

THanKs for everyone's input ahead of time.

`Marvin

Get a ACT Clutch, New Disc and maybe a Comptech Flywheel. Install before you put on the SC. If not, you will

I think your all set. Most S/C owners here still run with their stock diff. If you know how to launch you should be alright. Just replace that parts that break when/if they do.

Try it running with the stock gears before you think about changing them. Personally, I think 4.77s are too short for an s/c.

4.77 will be waaaayyyy too short for an s/c. At MOST 4.57's. I think Comptech even ran 4.44's in their "SuperFour Challenge" s2k. Check it out.... http://www.caranddriver.com/supercarchalle...nge-page18.html

i'm running 4.77's and the vortech and first gear is almost unuseable. City driving it's okay but the freeway driving is where it might hurt a little.

yes I've already bough the entire ACT clutch kit from hardtopguy and I went with the ACT flywheel. I could not find where to buy the comptech flywheel since Comptech is out of business.

Thanks for the article.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I appreciate it.

Should I be thinking about upgrading the breaks since I'll have more power?
