Nope. It's inherent with the design of the kit. Stronger hardware and mounting points is just a bandaid that doesn't guarantee reliability. LHT has slowly been trying to move away from KW, evidenced by their new SOS kit offerings using an intercooler.

Thanks Car Analogy. You summed it up perfectly. I don't want to go too far down the rabbit hole and too me 330-350 whp sounds awesome..lol. Plus with my arbitrarily picked limit of 350 I feel l'll have a good compromise between power and not breaking stuff. I would still need need a new clutch I suppose? Any recommendations?
And yeah i want a more athletic but still balanced S and I don't want to mess up my baby...lol.

There was a "factory" (dealer installed) SC when the cars first came out and I know one of our NE Ohio members has it. Being "factory" I'm assuming it's conservative. Would be nice to see what brand/boost/power it makes.

OEM clutch disk/release bearing, and pilot bearing with the ACT HD pressure plate is the way to go, OR the SOS Sport 325

Someone needs to come up with a dual belt single pulley for this mod, IMO.
weird. My vortech kit was super reliable once I had all the bugs worked out. I beat the living hell out of the car for 4-5 years without a single issue.

I always wondered why Honda didn't offer it in a kit. I remember that some of the guys on the West coast were getting it done
thru some dealerships like you say with a warranty. Comptech comes to mind, but im not sure.

speaking of FI. Anyone tried the GReddy carb legal bolt on turbo kit? I think from what I'm reading you can make around 330HP (wheel?) What's your thoughts on it. Seem like this is the only option for California, too hard to find a ct or vortex sc kits for the S. Let me know if anyone has experience with it

Dear god do not get the KW kit...
I thought KW improved it or something? "they listen to their consumer" It's still bad? When did you SC your s with KW? what problems did you have?

Agreed. I've driven mine for years, beat on it daily, and never had any issues. Drove it from Indiana to Pennsylvania and back and then to Texas. The car didn't let me down in any of those miles. I'm also over 100whp higher than the OP's goals, and it easily works as a daily.
