So, I have decided to make the switch and was hoping that you guys with an Inline set-up could help me out. I would like to see some pictures of the set-up installed (close ups) and if any, explain any modifications/issues you have had with
routing or heat. I'm going to go with Inline because of the reliability, customer service and cost. Also any suggestions or helpful advise would be great. I will be doing the install myself over the winter with the 3mm headgasket and head build up. Yes, I have experience, I have done two supercharger and one turbo install.

A few issues here and there, but nothing too major. You will need to do something about heat. I had shields made for the motor mount, had my shop fab my old ARC heatshield to protect the fusebox and wrapped the battery and A/C lines in Thermotec 2000 degree tape.
The one thing I think all of us InlinePRO guys are struggling with is the damn wastegate bolts vibrating loose after about 500-1000 miles. Not a huge issue, you just tighten them up, but it's a PITA.
Unless you go with a small turbo, you will need to do this to your frame rail:
Fantastic pics, it looks like you had the section cut out, recessed and welded in to accomodate the larger turbo (who did that)? Do you have any pics of the heatshield for the engine mount and of the wastegate position? Thanks
If you run a GT35R, you will not need to notch your frame like that. I had Inline do the install. I would just put heat shield wrap around the wire/fuse box harness, and battery just for piece of mind in the summer. I havn't had any major issues(knocks on wood) with the setup.

SSC Racing, the shop that installed my kit did that.
When we installed the kit without the frame notch, the turbine side of the turbo was pressed against the frame rail. It fit, barely, but without the notch it would have been rubbing and rattling like a mofo.

I've experienced the wastegate studs backing out and solved that by having a small tack welded to each. Small enough to easily knock off, but it keeps them from backing out. I also had the downpipe studs back out on me. That was a big pita. They haven't done it again, but i'm looking for a better solution for that as well.
Other than those two things, i've not had any issues w/ the Inline kit. Living in FL, you'd think heat would be a problem, but (knock on wood) that hasn't been an issue for me during the whole summer; including a long cross-country drive. I've not needed to wrap anything, although i did move my fuse box about an inch closer to the fender. It was easy to do by simply fabricating an aluminum bracket.
I'm running a GT35R and did need to notch for it, but my cut is in a slightly lower location than the one in the pic above. I think the 35R must mount slightly lower b/c mine is more of a 'hole' than a 'notch'; if that makes any sense.
Great info. guys, keep it coming. Where are you guys getting the heat wrap and hose insulation from and cost for it? I also noticed that almost all the pics show an aluminum radiator instead of stock, is it really needed or is this more for dress-up. Does Inline also provide the bracket for coolant bottle overflow relocation or are you using existing stuff? Thanks
