Default Synapse Missing link

In lieu of the issue that I been having where my car doesn't rev to 9,000 w/ higher boost (and yeah i know, still using the blue box, but it worked at one point)
I decided to get the synapse missing link. One of the thoughts were that maybe the ECU is seeing boost but not setting a DTC, so that was my "going out on a limb" thought.
so I purchased the synapse, intalled it and went for some runs. First run, notice breaking up all over the place, so I lower the boost to 9psi. Datalog my A/F and find out that as the motor hits boost, the A/F goes leaner even though I have a 18psi map loaded. Tried it again and same. A/F just skyrockets lean-scary. Boost cut table in e-manage was set to 2.95 volts but since supposedly the missing link won't let map sensor see boost I set it at 5 volts as well as trying other clamp values and same thing.

So I couldn't even determine if ECU was seeing boost as this thing messed up my fuel maps.
could I be wrong? certainly. I will take out the missing link tomorrow and re-run and see what happens, but the only change i made was this and lower the boost.

well what you are doing with the missing link is stoping the boost from getting to the map. so you ecu never thinks the motor is getting boost so it wont give the extra fuel needed. I dont know who said you sould put the missing link on but if you drive it like that is going to hurt your motor.

he's using an emanage with its own map sensor to tune

[QUOTE=eflove,Aug 8 2007, 05:27 PM] well what you are doing with the missing link is stoping the boost from getting to the map. so you ecu never thinks the motor is getting boost so it wont give the extra fuel needed. And deathsled,
I went through all the options in emanage, using emanage's pressure sensor and not using it.

since I asked him to try to use the missiling link I guess I should probably comment. Based upon the live data the car was sending via the map sensor there seems to be concerns that the emanage was not clamping the respected values as indicated in the boost cut. So I wanted to verify the car was indeed not reacting to boost via the map sensor. The emanage map was not dependent of the map sensor voltage.

Based upon all the time spent examining all the possiblities, the remaining possibilities reamins to be the countless wiring looms throughout the car and the possibility of some limitation in the head/cams. The car responds fine up to 14 psi and has responded fine at 18psi last year. The redline at 18psi is also a moving target continuosly changing. It has seen as high as 8600 in one run. Spark and fuel readings are ideal as well as timing and a/f.

Edit: Actually the map in/map out lead gets connected to the map sensor signal so yes it tapes into it.

But as far as fuel enrichment, you can select to either disconnect or use the Greddy pressure sensor
