Synapse missing link
Is it just me or does the little filter on the synapse missing link seem to get dirty quickly? i think on my car around every 6 weeks It gets dirty.
Also has anyone had any problems with them regarding hesitation etc?
Cheers

LittleAP1, The supercharger is great i really like it only running 7psi aftercooled but it does the job.
Moddiction, where about's exactly do you suffer hesitation? as i suffer from it during partial throttle never but never in WOT, though it doesn't happen all the time.
I sometimes get hesitation at around 3-4k rpm but it doesn't happen all the time (the car kinda jerks slightly), do you have an AFR gauge? as on mine it goes very lean then quickly rich when it hesitates.
I think it could be down to the missing link being mechanical and not as quick as a electronic 'map clamp' plus running slightly richer due to the Fpr. The Stock ECU is adjusting for around stoich during partial throttle and suffers a glitch so to speak then all is fine and it trys to adjust the fuel mixture - unfortunately this is the limitation of the setup IMO. So likely ECU see's too much fuel going in (too rich), try's to bring it back in-line by leaning it out, but by leaning it out it retards the ignition timing thus hence the hesitation.

As above i think this is what causes it, if you run the Map clamp does it disappear? - i havent tried it.
Unfortunately the map clamp does just that and likely isn't as good as adjusting for ambient and varying conditions as when running a 'missing link' thus allowing full voltage and adjustments.
Going lean partial throttle i don't think is an issue. Any time you let off the gas it goes full lean anyways. As far as I know you really only have to worry about WOT.
For some reason my car still runs super lean WOT but that is a whole different issue I have been dealing with for months haha.
I did have a comptech map clamp installed and did fix the hesitation issue. However I thought that was causing it to go lean so I disconnected that but wasn't the issue.
