Default Tapping the girdle / sealent request

I'm in the process of gathering all the things needed to tap my girdle for a oil return, I'm looking to do this in the next few week's and want to make sure I've covered all the bases prior. I have done as much research on here as the search tool will allow and have gone cross-eyed looking.

I was hoping to hear some success stories on what products were used to seal the fitting to the block after tapping.

Ultimately I would like to have the fitting welded after tapping it, but the concern of temperatures reached to weld aluminum and unsure of what issues' that may cause to my already assembled block (if any).

On the flip side are there any product's my fellow S2K'rs have applied, that after curing will be able to withstand the temps on that side of the block (turbo, exhaust and block temps) without fail (or without fail yet).

I, like everyone else only want to do this once while my block is on a stand and easily accessible. Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

why dont you take the oil pan off and weld it to that? if you can't do that mil spec teflon tape is good to temperatures over 400F (i want to say 500 but can't remember)

Are there any concerns' with heat soak when welding that would possibly warp the work I've had done to the block?

I'm also concerned with airborne contaminants' associated with welding making there way on to the piston or cylinder wall surfaces, (being someone else would have to weld this for me) and I'm not sure they would take the same safety precautions' I would while working on my block.

I was more concerned with heat and vibration leading to failure vs. pressure.

I did notice in 2 separate threads it looked as though they used Hondabond, I was curious of there success with this over some time if there were any instances' like this.

1/2" MPT fitting threaded into the girdle (tapped the hole I drilled). Honda Bond to seal... not an issue in 8 months of daily driving.
