THERMOSTAT for Turbo
Hey guys.
Is it necessary to change your thermostat when going turbo.
Reason Im asking is as follows...
I think my water feed line is setup such that coolant only flows to my Turbo when the Thermostat opens. So if the thermostat doesnt open quicker then my GT3076r is starved of coolant until the thermostat opens.
My turbo just blew after doing about 10 000km. I think from overheating. I dont want the same thing happening to my new one.
So then is it not necessary to get a thermostat that opens quicker???
Here is a pic of where my coolant is being fed from....
