Thumbs up Thinking....

Ok my first intention with the car is to keep it N/A but I can't take the thought of having an S2000 with around 500 RWHP at my disposal. Now I've beign reading a lot but there are so many different setups and parts...

Anyone wants to show off and list the best Turbo Kit and parts to build a realible (whatever is left of it) monster.

Im thinkin on an Inline Pro but heard about SpeedCraft also and was curious.
Who should I have building my engine for Turbo? What pistons, valvetrain, intercooler are most reccomended? What ecu? What cv joints? I want to change all the parts that need to be changed in order to support this power with minimal issues.

Any advice?

I planning to spend $15K to do this but also buy needed body parts like wider wheels, better rubber and widen the car if needed. Also all the electronics to monitor the car. Would this be enough?

Tried that. It's just to much, maybe someone can throw in a small quick list with some ideas.

I think the Turbo its gonna be a GT35R so far. ANyone knows if the new gen of VTG turbines are sold for aftermarket?

GT35r what size housing on the hot side?? I am assuming an 83ar with your power goal. Is your goal 500whp?
What kind of torque curve are you looking for?
Does it matter if the kit is reliable or just that it makes power??
Who is going to be building your engine??

i agree with you,

this question get ask everyday.

here is a little help.

15k is good just for the performance, not for the wheel and tires ( cosmetic side )

laskey racing or inlinepro is the best places to get your engine built.

inlinepro is a great kit.

lovefab is a big power maker, ( just came out with a new version, lovefab still doing testing on the new kit. )

if i was you, i would spent alot fo time researching first, before you buy anything.

Call up InlinePRO and ask them the same questions you posted above. Tell them a power level, what you will be using the car for (drag, dyno queen, autocross) and they will customize a kit for you.

If you went with them, had them do all of the work on the car including the tuning and installation it would run you around 15K. That includes the kit, the engine build, exhaust, clutch, all supporting mods, and tuning. You'd easily hit 500 rwhp.

Just look at what they just did with their 2.5L stroker. If you want REALLY big HP, I'd wait for that. Or convince them to market it!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I will spend a few months researching more and more before I spend the $$$.

The S2000 will be my DD for a while until I get my next DD and leave my S2000 as the weekend warrior. I want reliable power. I've being reading some and there is lots to consider (my head hurts). Like its said..."With great power comes great responsability"

I think with a range between 450 and 500rwhp its gonna be enough to scare some people.

I will contact InlinePro and Laskey (DAMN $3550 for building the engine) The Diff kit is $2995 At this rate I think I'll end up spending more than the calculated $15K.

Well it all depends really. If your ONLY shooting for 450-500 hp no need for a rebuilt engine. If your not drag racing, no need for a diff kit either.

Your going to want to do some research before guestimating how much you will be spending (as your adding unnecessary items for your wanted power level)
