Thinking of goin FI
I have decided to most likely get a Comptech SC, but after reading through some of the stickys and FAQs, not knowing much bout under the hood in this department, im curious as to what kinda long term strain and things i can do to make the engine stay healthy and last long time. I do ALOT of long distance driving, should this be a concern for me if and when going FI? As for boost, i was thinking in teh range of maybe 4-6 pounds, nothign too wild but enough for some extra fun. Would i need any internal reinforcements to be done prior to the SC install and if so what? Also, i had just had a compression test ran and the dealer at honda told my numbers weree 190 on all cylinders... i know thats within range but does seem alittle compared to others which seem to average 210.
I can't say too much because I'm not the most knowledgable person in this subject, but I've heard low boost is absolutely 100% safe in our cars. Everything is forged in our engines and can take it no problem. It can take 14psi or something like that stock without any issues. Some one please correct me if I'm wrong (and I probably am) but low boost to our cars totally safe. As a matter of fact if you still have a warranty and are worried about it getting canceled, you can pay honda to install your COMPTECH s/c'er and they'll keep your full warranty (if that tells you anything).
Also, with that low of boost, just driving around the city with a supercharger you can leave your rpm's under vtec and not really get on it, you probably won't even spool it up to anything and won't notices much of a difference.
BTW, all the stuff I've said are things I've read, so don't flame me, just correct me.

W/ the CTSC on stock boost you shouuld be fine. Any type of FI will stress your motor more, but plenty of folks have driven mucho miles w/ stock boost just fine.
Just let me warn you, boost is addictive
and you very well may find yourself wanting more pretty quickly. Once you start upping the boost, then reliability isn't so cut and dried. There are all sorts of variables that go into that. On a stock motor, 10 pounds is about as much as you want to run and that will require additional fuel management.
