Those Preinstall Jitters
I'm guessing I just need some reassurance not to sell my complete kit right now!!! I love the fact that I can drive my s2000 right now problem free and enjoy it now. I really just want all that power though, probably just the jitters of breaking into a perfect runnin motor.
I'll tell you this. I've had plenty of fast vehicles. Having the power is GREAT but in order to get some you have to give some. Sure there are once in awhile a perfect install but no matter what, you have 2-3 times the maintanance of a stock or semi stock motor. The name of the game is if you're ready to play you better be ready to pay.
Alot of guys here have had no problems at all but theres the people that do have problems. For me I have to worry about melting my wiring harness. Its happened once and I'm trying to prevent it from happening again. Once thats good I just have to watch over things and make sure no lines get loose or like I said maintanance because you don't want an oil line to burst or spray oil on your manifold. Then its most likely by by engine compartment unless you get it under control quick.
Not to scare you but to advise you of what can possibly be in store for you a head. BUT once you feel that power its all worth it!!!!!

Its not the install that you should be worried about. Its watching your tuner strap it to the dyno and knowing that every pull he is taking it to the limit. You will stand there and stare at the ground underneath the oil pan hoping you don't see any fluids leaking or worse hear a loud pop and wonder what that was....
I have a pfabrications Equal length top mount manifold with 3 inch downpipe, Gt3076r with .82a/r, Aem ems, pfabrications intercooler piping. I have everything ready just getting ready to install. This is my setup but not my car!!
It's a toy...how much do you want to play with it? Look, all your problems will be a second thought once you're making 50% more power...it feels like a new car.
You could always supercharge it and not give it a second thought while you beat the snot out of it...though you won't be nearly as fast.
GL!

Thanks man, I'm going to go ahead and get started this weekend. I think I have pretty much everything covered and will take all precautions with heat, etc... If I have questions I may be hitting the board up. Thanks

Just do it to it!! Looks like install will be easy. If you're not doing a 3 mm hg then you should be done in a day or 2 depending on your wrenching skills.
That kit looks pretty sweet. I'll be waiting to see the numbers. GL and have fun with it. I see a new clutch in the future!!
