Default To those with relocated battery/fuse box

My turbo install was supposed to have started this past weekend but some stuff got in the way, and now I won't be able to drop my car off until Wed. or Thurs. of this week. I need to adjust my fuse box so it'll sit sideways and I want to completely relocate my battery to the trunk I think.

Should I stick with my stock battery or go with an Optima one? Would a velcro strap mounting system be enough to hold it in place in the trunk? My trunk is completely gutted.

Anyone have any battery relocation pictures? Thanks!

Justin

thanks

The only thing is though that if I go to the track (1/4mile) and if they do inspection, they won't allow me to run, unless:

1. I have it enclosed in a approved battery box (even though its a dry cell battery)
2. I have a on/off switch mounted on the outside in the trunk (which I will not do)

But with this small battery and the hold downs I can just switch it up to the front in about 10 min.

Seems that a few of us are using the Odyssey. Are you guys having problems with very low starts in the winter? thi is my second battery, and I love it cause it's light, but craking in the winter specially after sitting is painful, almost goes dead.

As per the instructions as long as there is no drain on it the battery can sit outside for 1 year I think it says. I do have the factory "alarm" but I thought that didn't drain much juice, if not that, then something else is.

Cranking in cold weather with the Hawker Odyssey batteries is quite poor. Once it dropped below 30 degrees, the battery really didn't cut it. I have added a second one in my trunk to help that. It's completely hidden in the stock tool kit. I'll post pics later.
