Thoughts on this clutch?

Default Thoughts on this clutch?

I also considered a Spec Stage 2 clutch. For something in this price range do you think this is a good clutch for a Vortech SCed 2001?

LOL that ACT clutch will make you hate driving the car if it's a daily driver. You are better off getting the Spec or a ACT stage 1. Both will handle the power levels of the Votech.

It is and I have been concerned about that, but I just need something that can handle it. My stock clutch is slipping a large amount.

An unsprung six-puck will chatter like crazy too, so that's something else to consider. If I remember the Spec stage 2 is good for like close to 300tq, no way you are going to be close to that with the Vortech unless you are running a tiny pulley. The ACT is pretty close to that, there are quite a few people on this site running the ACT stage 1 and I haven't heard any of them complain about it slipping.

He did give you a suggestion. My suggestion is ACT stage 1 disc, Heavy Duty Pressure Plate.

That clutch is overkill and the engagement is way too fast for street driving.

They don't always chatter. It's a hit or miss sort of thing. I've had 2 unsprung pucks that didn't chatter. I've seen some sprung discs chatter a good bit.

I have the Spec Stage 2 Kevlar and it chatters on decel. The pedal feel is as light as stock and the grab is excellent.

Stock clutch with Mugen pressure plate works perfect
